Skilling Guide: 1 - 99 Construction

The Cape of Construction

The Cape of Construction is worn by the Estate Agents. Four of them are in RuneScape and can be found in Varrock, west of the Saradomin Church and north west of the Museum,

Seers' Village, north east of the bank,

Falador, between the furnace and east bank,

and Aroudgne, west of the south bank.

Useful Items for Construction

There is many items that are very useful for Construction, including Planks, Saw, Nails, Hammer, Boots of Lightness (Temple of Ikov), Spotted Cape (66 Hunter, Gloves of Penance (Barbarian Assault), and lots of cash to blow :P.

Quests Giving Construction Xp

Darkness of Hallowvale (2,000 xp)
Eyes of Glouphrie (250 xp)
Tower of Life (1,000 xp)
Perils of Ice Mountain (500 xp)
Fremennik Isles (5,000 xp)
Great Brain Robbery (2,000 xp)
Cold War (1,500 xp)
Catapult Construction (15,000 xp)

Getting Started...

Now, to get started, head to any of the Estate Agents listed above and buy a house for 1,000 coins. Your house will automatically be set in Rimmington by default, but at different levels, you can set your house in different places. Now, we'll go over the different places, level required, and notes about the location

Rimmington

Rimmington is the default when a house is bought. It only requires 1 Construction. It is easy to bank by walking east to the Squire in Port Sarim then going to the Void Outpost to bank.

Taverly

Taverly requires 10 Construction and 5,000 coins to move. It is not near a bank, but it is good for Amulet of Glory recharging, as it is near the Hero's Guild, and good for Summoning, as it is near the Obelisk below Pikkupstix's house.

Pollnivneach

Pollnivneach requires 20 Construction and 7,500 coins to move. It is no where near a bank, but it is very good for inner desert travel.

Rellekka

Rellekka requires 30 Construction and 10,000 coins to move. It is not very close to a bank, but it is useful if you forget your lyre and for switching to lunar spells, etc.

Brimhaven

Brimhaven requires 40 Construction and 15,000 coins to move. It is near the Brimhaven Dungeon and some other resources.

Yannille

Yanille requires 50 Construction and 20,000 coins to move. It is very close to a bank and is AMAZING for Prayer training.

Now, when you start your actual training, I am going to list the fastest ways. Up to about 33 Construction, they are decently cheap. After 33, it gets expensive, and you can train any method you wish.

Also, it is useful to make your own planks. If you make your own planks, you save about 170k per hour. If you DO NOT make about 170k per hour when you play RuneScape, then it is suggested you make your own. If you do make over 170k per hour, then it is not suggested you do.

1-9 Construction

1-9 Construction is very simple. Just make regular chairs.

It is very simple, but you may need to make your own planks as it is hard to buy from other players.

9-19 Construction

9-19 Construction, just make larders out of regular planks. It is pretty simple and these require 8 planks each.

19-22 Construction

At 19 Construction, you can now make oak things. Make Oak Chairs until 22 Construction.

22-31 Construction

At this level, you should make Oak Tables. They are better xp as you use more planks at a time.

31-33 Construction

Now, you should make Oak Carved Tables. They are better xp than regular Oak Tables as you get more xp per table.

33-74 Construction

From 33-74 Construction, you should make Oak Larders. They are the fastest xp at until 74 Construction.

At 50 Construction, you should hire a Demon Butler. He can be bought from the Servants' Guild in Aroudge for 10k. Just have your planks noted in your inventory and use them on him and he will bring them to you unnoted. You only have to pay him every 8th time. You can get about 170k xp per hour with the Demon Butler. It costs about 1.2M per hour using this the Demon Butler.

74-99 Construction

At 74 Construction, you should now make Oak Dungeon Doors. They are nearly 65k xp per hour faster than larders. Just use your Demon Butler again and you will go very fast. It costs about 2.1M per hour.

A Few Reminders...

Remember to always have your saw, hammer, and other tools in your inventory as it is wasted time to go back to the bank.

Good Luck on 99 Construction!
